Senior Leadership
At the end of the training the delegates will:
- understand the business case for promoting dignity at Work and challenging workplace bullying and harassment
- understand the pivotal role of leadership in achieving dignity at work
- understand the company’s policy and associated responsibilities
- understand the concepts of dignity at work, unacceptable behaviour, bullying, harassment and discrimination.
Staff Awareness
At the end of the training delegates will:
- understand the concepts of equality, diversity and dignity at work
- understand the concepts of bullying, harassment and discrimination and their causes
- understand the difference between positive workplace behaviour and unacceptable workplace behaviour
- understand different methods of intervention and where to go for help
- understand the company’s policy and their responsibilities
Dignity at Work (DAW) Advisers
At the end of the training, the delegates will:
- understand the role of the DAW Adviser and the responsibilities of the role
- understand and be confident about employing the skills and knowledge required to be an effective DAW Adviser
- understand the concepts of bullying and harassment and be familiar with potential causes
- understand the difference between positive workplace behaviours and unacceptable behaviours
- understand the company’s policy and where to refer complainants within the company
Training for Investigators
At the end of the training, the delegates will:
- understand how to prepare for and manage a workplace investigation
- understand the subtleties and complexities of investigations into workplace bullying and harassment
- understand the key skills necessary in undertaking a thorough investigation
- understand the legal and procedural position
- understand how to assess information and conclude a report based on the appropriate burden of proof
Training for Trade Union officials
At the end of the training, the delegates will:
- understand the role of an official in respect of dignity at work, including the skills and knowledge required
- understand the range of contexts in which officials may be required to represent members
- understand the range of positive opportunities for organizing Trade Union activity around the theme of dignity at work
- understand the range of different methods of intervention aimed at promoting dignity at work and achieving a zero tolerance culture
- understand the key features and benefits of a model policy
